Dr. Riza B. Lintag, dean of the College of Education (COE) at Pampanga State University (Pampanga State U), participated in a 3-day academic and cultural immersion to foster academic cooperation and further internationalization as part of the International Study Tour organized by the Philippine Association of Teachers and Educators - Region III (PAFTE-III) held in Indonesia from June 25 to 29, 2025.
The learning visit explored innovative practices in curriculum development, instruction, research,= and school management through visits to leading institutions in Indonesia, particularly Universitas Muhammadiyah in Jakarta and Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia in Bandung.
Accompanied by PAFTE Regional Chair Dr. Olivia P. Almario of La Consolacion University of the Philippines, the delegation included representatives from 13 Philippine universities, with Dr. Lintag serving as Pampanga State University’s official delegate.
“Each of the PAFTE member universities brought home Memorandum of Understanding (MOUs) for future engagements. Pampanga State University, in particular, was given a number of MOUs after the networking forum and had a chance to discuss possible projects for future joint programs,” said Dr. Lintag.
The networking mission aimed to strengthen partnerships among Teacher Education Institutions across the Southeast Asian region, setting the stage for future opportunities and long-term collaborations.
“As we move forward, the seeds of partnership planted during this mission must be nurtured into enduring academic collaborations. I envision future joint programs, virtual classrooms that transcend borders, and shared advocacies that empower the teaching profession on a regional scale,” Dr. Lintag added.
