To provide its students with practical experience through on-the-job training (OJT) programs, specifically for those enrolled in science and technology-related (S&T) courses, Don Honorio Ventura State University (DHVSU) formalized a partnership with the Department of Science and Technology Regional Office III (DOST-III) at the DOST-III Office in the City of San Fernando, Pampanga, on February 6, 2025.
The Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) marked the authorization of DOST-III’s collaboration with selected State Universities and Colleges, including DHVSU, to provide internship opportunities within its offices and facilities over a three-year period, aiming to enhance the standard and effectiveness of DOST-III’s OJT program.
DHVSU, through its Office of Career Services (OCS), will promote this internship opportunities to its students from S&T courses.
Meanwhile, applications from students in other disciplines are also welcome, as DOST-III will review and select interns based on their specific needs and criteria, ensuring that the internships align with students’ academic backgrounds and the agency’s requirements.
Present during the ceremonial MOA signing, on behalf of Dr. Enrique Baking, University President, were Dr. Dolores T. Quiambao, Vice President for Student Affairs and Services; Plato B. Mercado, Director of the Office of Student Welfare and Formation; and Cristal Rio Manuel, Head of OCS, while DOST-III was represented by Dr. Julius Caesar V. Sicat, Regional Director of DOST-III, and Belen Q. Garcia, Assistant Regional Director for Finance and Administration Services.
