To lay the foundation for Don Honorio Ventura State University (DHVSU) in its pursuit of becoming one of the leading universities in the Southeast Asian region, the University Administrative Council and selected academic planning coordinators, led by DHVSU President Dr. Enrique Baking, convened for a three-day Sustainable Development Goals (SDG)-Based Annual Planning Session 2025 at Funtasea Hotel and Beach Resort from February 18 to 20, 2025.

Guided by the theme “Strategizing Directions Towards Goals,” the participants established key objectives, strategies, and actions that will steer the university’s direction in the coming years.

In his message, Dr. Enrique Baking commended the collective achievements over the past years, emphasizing that these milestones reflect DHVSU’s relentless pursuit of excellence, sustainability, and innovation.

The move towards internationalization was emphasized by the speakers throughout the lecture-workshop.

“I challenge everyone: let us not allow our strategic plans to remain mere aspirations or dissolve into fantasy. Instead, let us ensure that they materialize through concrete actions and shared commitment,” Engr. Reden Hernandez, Executive Vice President and Vice President for Administration and Finance, stated in his welcome remarks.

He further stated that the gathering is a defining moment for DHVSU to revisit the University's Medium-Term Development Plan and incorporate the newly crafted Program Expenditures Classification.

The three-day activity provided an opportunity to evaluate the University’s progress throughout the year, allowing for improvement, adaptability, and informed decision-making in the years ahead.
