Pampanga State University (Pampanga State U), through the Research Management Office (RMO), participated in the International Conference on Technology, Social Science, Business, Agriculture, and Fisheries (ICTSSBAF), hosted by Pangasinan State University (PSU), held at the PSU Golden Lion Hotel in Lingayen, Pangasinan, November 24 to 25, 2025.

ICTSSBAF aims to be an avenue for disseminating research and cooperation across diverse disciplines.

The event was held on a hybrid mode where two Pampanga State U faculty members presented online, and one employee presented his research onsite.

Engr. Charles Lim, one of the researcher-presenters, was recognized as Best Presenter during the conference with his paper titled "AI-Driven Optimization and Evaluation of an IoT-Based Nutrient Dosing System for Flood-Drain Hydroponic Lettuce Cultivation."

Meanwhile, the two online presenters Shareen Jenise Carlos presented her paper titled “Scroll, Like, and Subscribe: Reasons for Following Social Media Influencers in the Lens of Undergraduate University Students, and Engr. Edward Jones Galang presented his paper titled “Cellscope: Real-time Automated Microscopy Focus Adjustment for Cell Analysis with CNN-based Blood Cell Counter.

Alongside the conference, Pampanga State U and PSU signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) to solidify a collaborative framework necessary to host the conference.

A significant benefit for the collaborators will be established as publication policy where accepted papers from the partner institutions will receive priority endorsement for submission to partner peer-reviewed journals for potential publication to help increase the chances of acceptance in Scopus- and Web of Science (WoS)-indexed journals.

Representing Pampanga State U during the MOA signing included Dr. Jhon Paulo Oflaria, Education Program Specialist; Nympha Reyes; Dr. Christine Cayanan; and Engr. Lim.

The participation in the conference was endorsed by the RMO led by its director, Dr. Robin Dimla.
