Affirming its commitment to global excellence, Pampanga State University (Pampanga State U) was recognized for its leadership in Internationalization (IZN) and Global Rankings during the Commission on Higher Education Internationalization Champions of Nation-Building and Sustainability (ICONS) Awards 2025 in a ceremony held at the Philippine International Convention Center on December 10, 2025.

This national recognition honors the significant achievements of the university in both the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings 2025 and the World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI) 2025.

Spearheaded by CHED, the ICONS Award is an annual celebration of Philippine Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) for their exemplary role in championing the country’s HEI’s sector on the international stage.

Representing Pampanga State University in receiving the award was Dr. Mildred M. Crisostomo, Director of the Office for International Partnerships and Programs.

The recognition is part of Pampanga State U's strategic vision to not only excel locally but to serve as a leading force for innovation and quality education on the global platform.
