John Paul P. Miranda, a faculty member of Pampanga State University (Pampanga State U) Mexico Campus, represented the University in the 9th International Conference on Education and E-Learning (ICEEL) held at Otsuma Women’s University in Tokyo, Japan last November 21 to 23, 2025.
Miranda presented his completed research output titled “Artificial Intelligence in Physical Education: A Review” co-authored by Julius Ceazar G. Tolentino from the College of Education and Jumel C. Miller from Central Luzon State University.
“I introduced our university and the work we do. I saw how other top-ranked institutions use AI in teaching and rethink their approaches, and these examples inspired me to try similar ideas,” Miranda said in an interview.
He also shared that he gained practical tips for assessments and classroom activities, and he plans to share these use cases with his colleagues and apply them in his courses.
The participation also aimed to expand academic knowledge in emerging areas of educational technology, establish research networks with international scholars and institutions, and support the University’s internationalization goals through global research exposure.
In the Board Resolution No. 104, series of 2025, Miranda’s participation in the event was recognized as support for the institutional direction of the University through the Research Management Office led by its director Dr. Robin B. Dimla.
