The announcement was made during the closing ceremonies of the 2025 RSTW, held at the Malolos Sports and Convention Center, Malolos City, Bulacan on November 14, 2025.
In his acceptance speech, Pampanga State U President Dr. Enrique G. Baking—represented by Vice President for Research, Innovation, Training, and Extension, Dr. Ranie B. Canlas— emphasized the significance of this partnership in strengthening the university’s role in regional development.
“It is with deep and profound gratitude that we accept the privilege of hosting next year’s RSTW. This moment marks not only a torch—one that illuminates the continuing pursuit of knowledge, discovery, and innovation in service to our people,” Dr. Canlas stated.
He also mentioned that the ceremonial turnover is a beginning and an opportunity for the University to contribute meaningfully to the continuous evolution of science and technology in the region.
“We accept this honor with humility, determination, and a deep sense of responsibility,” Dr. Canlas said.
