In the pursuit of uplifting legal education through accessible learning resources, the Senate Service Chiefs Association (SenateSCA), in coordination with the Office of Senator Manuel “Lito” M. Lapid, turned over books and reading materials to the students of the Pampanga State University (Pampanga State U) School of Law (SOL) in a turnover ceremony held at the Administration Building Lobby on November 26, 2025.
The materials will be placed in the SOL library, where they will help the law students access high-quality legal resources that will ensure they are prepared in understanding the complexities of the legal system.
“These books will inspire research, sharpen understanding, and cultivate future lawyers and leaders who will use the law to protect rights, uphold fairness, and serve our nation. The impact of this donation will extend far beyond the classroom into communities, courtrooms, public offices, and all places where justice is needed,” Dr. Charles Aquino, a member of the Presidential Management Staff, remarked in his welcome speech.
Moreover, Pampanga State U President Dr. Enrique G. Baking articulated his appreciation for the book donation, highlighting its pivotal role in advancing student development and opportunities.
“We extend our deepest appreciation to Senator Manuel “Lito” Lapid and the Senate Service Chief Association for their unwavering support to education and public service. Your generosity reinforces the belief that building a strong community begins with providing the right resources and opportunities to our learners,” Dr. Baking mentioned.
Senator Manuel “Lito” M. Lapid, in turn, expressed his gratitude to the Senate for selecting Pampanga as the beneficiary of the books; while also highlighting the practical help the donation provides to SOL students.
“Nagpapasalamat po ako sa kanila [senate] dahil napili ‘yung Pampanga na mabigyan ng mga libro na ito. Siguro po makakatulong naman po ito kahit na kokonti, pero kung may sobra sobra pa welcome po na magbigay ulit dito,” said Sen. Lapid.
Meanwhile, Atty. Regina Salonga, dean of the SOL, conveyed her gratitude and assured that the materials would be used in a meaningful way.
“I would like to express and convey our heartfelt gratitude from the SOL of Pampanga State U dahil po napili niyo ang aming program to be the beneficiary of these books. Please be assured that these donated materials will be put into meaningful use in advancing student development,” Atty. Salonga stated.
