The Don Honorio Ventura State University (DHVSU) – School of Law (SOL) raised the bar with a historic leap by officially opening the Legal Aid Clinic and unveiling the Honorian Law Journal, held at DHVSU Bacolor Campus last March 6, 2025.
“May this Legal Aid Clinic and Law Journal serve as lasting symbols of our commitment to the legal profession and the communities we are honored to serve,” said Atty. Regina Salona, OIC-Dean of DHVSU-SOL.
She also pointed out that justice is not just about laws written in books but about its essence in the lives it touches, the voices it amplifies, and the truths it upholds.
Dr. Enrique G. Baking, DHVSU President, led the inauguration alongside Atty. Regina Salonga; Dr. Dolores T. Quiambao, Vice President for Student Affairs and Services; Dr. Vicky P. Vital, Director of DHVSU Mexico Campus; Hon. Jason R. Barlis, Chairperson of the Legal Education Board; Atty. Alejandro N. Buan, President of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines - Pampanga; and Atty. Socrates A. Padua, District Public Attorney from the Public Attorney’s Office - Pampanga District.
“These initiatives represent significant milestones for this esteemed institution, whose history and contributions to the people of Pampanga and the neighboring provinces have stood the test of time, as well as to the brotherly legal society,” Hon. Barlis remarked.
The Legal Aid Clinic and the Honorian Law Journal both aim to shape the future of legal education and champion justice through pro bono service at DHVSU.
