Pampanga State University (Pampanga State U), through its Office for International Partnerships and Programs (OIPP), hosted info sessions on Scholarships and Opportunities Abroad for faculty and students held at the University Hostel on December 2, 2025.

The event brought the participants together to explore international pathways for academic growth and global engagement.

Dr. Mildred Crisostomo, OIPP director, delivered the opening remarks and statement of purpose highlighting the University’s unwavering commitment to strengthening international linkages and broadening access to global academic mobility.

“By providing them the equal chance to avail international scholarship and other global opportunities and the technical assistance to apply and finally make it,” Dr. Crisostomo said in an interview.

One of the sessions was led by Dr. Cailvin D. Reyes, FLTA scholar and chairperson for Academic Instruction at the Porac Campus, where he shared his personal journey and experiences as an international scholar.

Meanwhile, Dr. John Paul Miranda, program head for International Linkages and Partnership, provided participants with practical insights on scholarship opportunities, application strategies, and preparations essential for entering international programs.

Some of the international scholarships explored by both the resource persons and participants include Fulbright, Erasmus, Taipei Economic and Cultural Office, Japan International Cooperation Agency, Korea International Cooperation Agency, Stipendium Hungaricum, and Chevening.

“A lot of international initiatives are being explored by the office. These include but not limited to strengthening international partnerships, expanding exchange and mobility programs, offering international scholarship opportunities, cultivating language and culture programs, among others,” Dr. Crisostomo said.
