Dr. Dolores T. Quiambao, Pampanga State University (Pampanga State U) Vice President for Student Affairs and Services (VPSAS) and concurrent Director of the Gender and Development Focal Point System, served as a resource speaker at the “VAWfreePH? Youth Got This!” Youth Forum of the Philippine Commission on Women (PCW) in the event held at the SMX Megatrade Hall 2, SM Megamall, Mandaluyong City, on November 25, 2025.
Organized by the PCW, the forum officially launched the annual 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women (VAW).
The campaign aims to strengthen the national commitment to eliminating VAW.
The event featured six plenary sessions and gathered participants nationwide from senior high schools, colleges and universities, the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Federation, partner government agencies, and various youth organizations.
Representing Pampanga State U, Dr. Quiambao lectured on “The School Admin's Compass: Navigating the Path to VAW Prevention.”
Her talk aimed to share best practices in preventing and addressing VAW within educational institutions, fostering safe and inclusive spaces, and encouraging students to proactively engage in related activities.
Furthermore, the event served as a venue for young leaders to engage meaningfully in advocacy initiatives and contribute as key partners in the movement towards a VAW-free Philippines.
