
After its debut last year in the UI Green Metric World University Rankings (WUR), Pampanga State University made a significant jump in the rankings, placing 478th in the world in the 2025 edition, up from 640th in 2024.
The University’s overall score reached 6,922.5 points, up from the previous 6,220 points, showing noteworthy progress.
Furthermore, the University significantly improved its national standing, ranking 14th in the Philippines (up from 20th last year) and 2nd in the Central Luzon region (up from 3rd in the previous ranking).
The awarding ceremony was held at National Chi Na University in Taiwan and was broadcast live online. The official results were also posted on the UI Green Metric WUR website.
Pampanga State U was one of the 89 higher education institutions from the country that applied for the ranking, which is designed to showcase institutional sustainability efforts and improvements worldwide.
This new ranking milestone is part of the internationalization effort of the university while maintaining internal quality assurance across its functions.
